"Time stays long enough for those who use it."

~ Leonardo Da Vinci

Effective time management skills are very important for a student. As we enter higher grades, we have to deal with more subjects, assignments, tests, and extracurriculars. Good time management skills can help to keep us on track and reduce our stress from deadlines.

  • Eliminate Distractions

Between cell phones, social media, and friends, there are a lot of activities that can distract us from our school work. Limit your time on the phone, especially from playing games.

  • Make a Project Plan

Creating a project plan can also help avoid last-minute. Break down assignments into smaller chunks, each with its own separate due dates. This will encourage you to plan ahead and start working on assignments earlier.

  • Create a Master Schedule and Use an Agenda

This will help you to look ahead and priorities projects. It also provides a structure to keep us track to meet due dates.

  • Set Goals For Each Study Session

Set specific goals for each day, like how many pages of a book report to write or how many questions to complete. The agenda and master schedule will help with planning of daily goals so assignments can be completed on time.

  • Start Working on Assignments Early and One Thing At a Time

Good time management skills mean not leaving assignments until the day before they are due. Schedule time to start working on them well before they are due so you won’t feel stressed and scrambling to meet the due dates. Focusing on one task will help us to complete it more efficiently and effectively.

Last, I made a weekly planner and list that maybe can help you to organize your time. I hope this could help you.

So, here we are. The most important thing from time management is being consistent and controlling yourself. You need to be able to keep your goals and progress on track.
